Boat renters must be 25 years old and have a valid driver's license to operate boats.
Anyone wishing to rent a boat who is born on or after January 1, 1998 must have an official boating license regardless of age.
Rates do not include gas and tax.
A physical damage waiver is available for $20 and buys your deductible down to $500. (Without waiver the renter is responsible for the entire value of the boat.)
A $1,000 deposit (credit card only) is required with all rentals that choose not to purchase the physical damage waiver and a $500 deposit is required for all rentals that do purchase the waiver.
No grills permitted on boats.
In some cases a clean-up fee may apply.
Holidays and the days around them are subject to holiday pricing which may be higher than normal.
A cancellation fee of 25% (max $500) will apply to all cancellations with a minimum of 72 hours advance notice.
All cancellations require at least 72 hours notice. No refund will be given without 72 hours notice.
Marina reserves the right to deny boat rental to any person and may restrict rental due to weather.
Cancellation Policies
A cancellation received with greater than a 72-hour notice including for personal emergencies, will result in a 25% cancellation fee (maximum of $500). The cancellation fee will be deducted from the reservation fee. A refund of the balance will be issued to the credit card used to secure the reservation.
A cancellation received with less than a 72-hour notice or a "no show" including for personal emergencies, will forfeit the entire reservation fee.
Cancellation fees will be waived only if the following conditions exist on Lake Hartwell at the time of the rental: heavy rain lasting more than 45 minutes; lightning; tornado warnings; high wind advisories or any condition that Harbor Light Marina considers unsafe boating conditions.
